Gingerbread Spritz Cookies

  • 1½ Cups Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1½ Teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ Teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • ¼ Teaspoon Allspice
  • ¼ Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup Packed Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 3½ Cups All Purpose Flour
  1. In a large bowl combine butter and spices, beat in sugar, powder and egg. Then beat in flour a little at a time until incorporated. The dough should be stiff (not sticky) and possibly crumbly, all you need to do is mold it with your hands.
  2. Force un-chilled dough through cookie press on to ungreased, chilled cookie sheets. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes.
