Would you believe that my time in Hawaii is over? Yes, I know I’ve not been here even 2 years yet and it’s time to move on. One would think I was not ready to leave paradise. At first, I was not pleased. Now, I can’t wait to get there!
After being together 15 years we’ve decided to finally settle down and grow some roots. We’ve been renters since the day we got married, 14 years ago. So, we had a house built in Washington, something else we’ve wanted to do and have talked about for years.
He will be retiring from the military in a few years time and now seemed like the perfect time. Can I just tell you how excited I am to finally have MY own kitchen…not one I am using for a time…but mine, all mine!! And a dishwasher…so important for a baker, hahahaha!!
So sadly, this is why I’ve not been baking and won’t be able to till I get settled into my new home. I am sorry, it is the best time of year to bake and share and I am missing out but I am thrilled to have a home of our own and now my own kitchen to bake in. So, I will say you can look forward to me baking in the New Year! I know I am!
We are moving in this month & before Christmas! None of our stuff will get to the house till late January though. It shall be interesting for a bit!
Since I’ve not been baking, I wanted to share this bit of news with you all, so please stick with me, through another move and the last! I am thinking I will share a few more posts about the move/house with you along the way and share some pictures too of the house.
I hope you all have a happy & blessed Christmas season, filled with lots of joy and baking of course!!
